Am 16.12.2025 um 19 Uhr findet die nächste Vollversammlung der AG DSN online statt.

Thema der Sitzung sind laut Einladung der Beschluss des Haushaltes für 2026.

Die vollständigen Details zur Sitzung inklusive der Tagesordnung sind für Mitglieder zugänglich in der Einladung zu finden.

Es ist wieder fast Vorweihnachtszeit und deshalb kann das traditionelle Mitgliedergrillen in diesem Jahr leider nicht stattfinden. Stattdessen gibt es eine Glühweinsprechstunde.

Was heißt das? Es wird... - Glühwein - Weihnachtssüßigkeiten - Waffeln - und eine Weihnachtsplaylist ...geben.

Wo findet die Glühweinsprechstunde statt? Beim AG DSN Büro in der Wundtstraße 5.

Wann geht’s los? Am 27.11.25 ab 18 Uhr wird aufgetischt!

Euer Team Festivities der AG DSN

Halloween steht vor der Tür und wir die AG DSN möchten eine alte Tradition wieder aufleben lassen: das Halloween-Kürbisschnitzen. Da ihr aber vielleicht am 31.10. eure eigene Feier veranstaltet, möchten wir euch am 30.10. ab 19 Uhr in unser Büro in die Borsbergstraße 34 einladen. Dort werden Kürbisse und weitere Leckereien bereitstehen. Aus den geschnitzten Kürbissen wird dann gemeinsam Kürbissuppe gemacht. Bringt gerne euer eigenes Schnitzwerkzeug mit. Wenn ihr technische Fragen habt, könnt ihr diese gerne mitbringen. Wir freuen uns auf euch!

Liebe Mitglieder, da wir nun den atemberaubenden Zuwachs von einer Person in unserem Supportteam verzeichnen konnten, können wir nun wieder unsere Öffnungszeiten erweitern.

Das Büro Wundtstraße 5 bleibt unverändert Montags und Donnerstags in geraden Kalenderwochen geöffnet.
Das Büro Hochschulstraße 50 ist nun wieder Montags und Donnerstags geöffnet.
Das Büro Borsbergstraße 34 ist nun jeden Donnerstag geöffnet.
Die Hotline ist weiterhin Montags und Donnerstags verfügbar.

Alle Öffnungs-/Verfügbarkeitszeiten sind von 19:00 bis 20:00 Uhr. Die Übersicht aller Öffnungszeiten ist unter Kontakt verfügbar.

Themen der Sitzung sind die Entlastung des alten Vorstandes, die Wahl eines neuen Vorstandes, der Beschluss zweier Nachtragshaushalte und die Anpassung unserer Beitragsordnung.

Dear Members, MPSK WiFi client management is now available in your Usersuite. Now you can set up devices that do not support WPA Enterprise such as PS4, PS5, Smat TVs and other IoT devices. This is another step forward in eliminating the need for routers and making the wireless network faster for all users.

Future information: WLAN.

It's now possible to log in devices that don't support WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise via the WiFi called agdsn-mpsk. For this, the device needs to be activated by us. The best way to do this is to send an e-mail with the device's Wi-Fi MAC address to our Support or visit us in our office.

On 2024-12-04 at 7pm the next General Assembly of AG DSN will take place online.

We will vote on a budget for 2025, as well as an amendment to our articles of association, our team regulations and our contribution regulations.

Members of AG DSN can find the full details and agenda in the invitation, but unfortunately only in German.

On 16.10.2024 at 7PM the next general assembly of the AG DSN will take place.

Topic of the meeting is the election of a new executive board.

On 7th of May, after a meeting of our "Team Network", people sat down to update the software of our old core router. As you hopefully haven't noticed, no problems occured. Thanks to the fact we've migrated our uplink to the new core routers on March 16th, this've been much more relaxed than it would have before.

Some technical details: the old core router consists of three physical devices, united to to a single logical one. Therefore it's name, "Ianus". Each of the three devices is a FlexFabric 5900 from HPE.

The new routers are a group of three Omniswitch 6900-V72 from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, they remain seperated logically though.

We didn't only maintain our technical connections but also our social ones. For that purpose we held our "Jahresessen" (annual dinner) on 29th of May. Just like in past years, we've had vivid discussions with people doing research and teaching at TU Dresden, the Studentenwerk, the "Zentrum für Informationsdienste und Hochleistungsrechnen der TU Dresden (ZIH)" as well as with companies we are in contact with, e.g. for procurement of network hardware.

Last but not least, an addendum to last months post: as we received reports about issues with the WLAN coverage, we've installed one more wireless access point manufactured by Aruba in five levels of the International Guest House on the 24th of April.
